3 week check-up confirmed my tumor markers continue to drop!!! 🎉AMAZING 🎉 Down another 2.5 lbs from dietary changes. Started my first Zometa infusion today to help by bones with calcium. How lucky am I that my dear friend Tara Young could come visit me. It's also no accident I'm wearing my Team Phoenix shirt. 💜💜💜
Long overdue ... Thank You to Rick and Ken for our amazing wedding venue 2 yrs ago. Happy early 2nd anniversary, to my dearest Heather ❤️ This 9 course tasting menu with pairings sources ALL ingredients from within 100 miles! Wine and beer pairings 🍷🍻. Not to fear, we aren't driving later tonight ... we are staying at the Willow's Lodge (where we stayed on our wedding night). Love this place! Love the company!
My sister pulled out this gem as a throwback to celebrate my dad's birthday. I'm the oldest... my sister Catherine in the middle, and the baby is our brother Ryan. We sure were cuties =) I mean, come on ... check out those bowl cuts!
No other sport would have a picture of the top 3 teams at the Olympics in one picture. No sport is like rugby! ❤️🏉❤️ #rugby #rio2016 #rugbyisfamily#rugbybuildscharacter #yeswomenplayrugby
Nothing sets the reality of vacation being over like a Dr's appt with your oncologist. Here's to hoping my tumor markers continue to show progress 🙏
Today I watched a woman put tanning oil on sitting in the 'extreme uv index' sun in Hawaii. Um, hello lady. Are you serious? Skin cancer mean anything to you? All day watched hordes of people turn their pool chairs to stay with the sun. Heather and I are doing our beat to stay out of the sun. Neither of us should be in the sun; her being so fair skinned and ginger and me because my chemo makes me super light sensitive. Take a look at my hands and feet. They are really this dark, it's not the light from the picture.
After a snafu with construction near our room, we have a new room. This is our view. Let's hope when the construction picks up again we won't hear it from our amazing new room with this view! So we decided to celebrate with morning beers on our balcony. Yay vacation!
Aloha from Kauai. We are 5 days into our 10 day trip. So many amazing adventures and relaxing days at the pool and beach. Most of our pictures are with our real camera. Here's a few we took with our phones ... Nā Pali Coast (no pics yet, on camera), Waimea Canyon, drive up to the North Shore + some snorkeling and scuba diving. Thanks Nate and Travis from Garden Isle Divers, you guys are rad and we loved diving with you!
We are on VACATION! First class to Hawaii. Woop! When you cash in miles from your road warrior life, it feels a bit more fabulous and worth while!
